Usage of VPN under macOS

  1. Download the VPN configuration file.
  2. Launch the FortiClient VPN program. The welcome screen is similar to this one:

  3. Click the Lock icon in the upper right corner, then enter your username and password.

  4. Click the Gear icon, then click the Restore button in the options that appear.

  5. Navigate to the folder where you saved the MATE VPN configuration file. Click the Options button in the lower-left corner of the file selector window, and then select All files from the Format drop-down menu that appears.

  6. Now the MATE VPN configuration file will become selectable (in this example, settings.xml). Select the file and click Open.

  7. Click on the OK button.

  8. If the import was successful, you will see the message below, and after a few seconds the MATE VPN connection option will appear, where you can connect by entering your uni-mate.hu email address and password.

  9. If you receive a success message, but the MATE VPN connection option does not appear, close the FortiClient VPN program completely, for example, by pressing cmd+q, and then restart it.
